Callie and Marie split up briefly, though whether this was due to the turbulent personalities involved or creative differences remains largely unclear. Speculation has led many to believe that the events of their final splatfest together strained their relationship. Callie and Marie released one single each independently, Bomb Blush Rush and Tide Goes Out respectively. After brief solo careers, the two joined together again, arguably more popular than they had started.
The Squid Sisters have been spotted from their home turf all the way to the Splatlands, making music along the way. With hit collaborators like Deep Cut and Off the Hook, their new tracks well beyond lived up to their hype.
